Simple Pager:
Simple Pager 1.2

Simple Pager sends numeric pages to your dial up pager via your modem. Pages can be sent manually, by double clicking a saved pager document or via applescript. The applescript support lends itself very well to automated paging. The applescript dictionary contains a single verb 'page' used like

	tell application "SimplePager"
	   page "123-4567" message "567-8901"
	end tell

If other programs are using your modem Simple Pager can run a script before paging to turn them off and another script when it has finished to restart them. This can be very useful if you are also using your modem to gather caller ID data but still wish to be able to use it to send outgoing pages.

Simple Pager is compatible with any built in Macintosh modem in desktop or powerbook computers as well as any external modem connected via USB, a USB/Serial adaptor, or a legacy serial port in older hardware.

Version 1.2 brings support for OSX. Version 1.1 is still available for classic MacOS and 68k Macs. This update is free for all registered users of previous versions.

Simple Pager is directly supported as an alert action in the Whistle Blower enterprise server and restart utility. Both under classic MacOS and OSX.
